Ed Telling has been a business broker since 1982. As President of the Telling Group, located in Cortland, NY, he manages a full service company with a focus on business appraisal and business brokerage transactions with selling prices of $3 Million or more.

Ed specializes in providing merger and acquisition experience to privately held businesses and has experience from hundreds of successful business transfers. His database of companies he contacts frequently contains 4500 companies in upstate NY and 1800 Private Equity Groups.

Ed has an international network of intermediaries and was a regular speaker and writer in the brokerage industry. He is a fellow of the International Business Brokers association, served on the board of directors and was vice-president in 1993 and 1994.

ITTr is sad to announce that Don passed away July 3, 2010.

Don Perko was a specialist in developing custom business lists for small and mid-size companies. Business Targets provides a full range of lists in electronic form for mailing, telephone solicitation, and demographics that fit the business needs and budget requirements of small and mid-size companies.

Prior to founding Business Targets, Mr. Perko's Sales and Marketing experiences included:

  • Rohm and Hass Pharmaceutical Division Area Representative
  • Bausch and Lomb Soflens Division Product Manager
  • St. John Fisher College, Marketing and Advertising Adjunct
  • Designer Acoustics, Inc.: Executive V.P.

Dick Blazey has more than 30 years of experience in R&D in fields including Electrical Engineering and Optics. He holds 34 patents. The last 6 years of his career at a Fortune 500 company were spent in an Innovation Hub leading teams evaluating and developing new products. In 2003 he founded Business Metamorphosis LLC, which he describes as an innovation services company. He sometimes describes himself as an Innovation Coach. BML helps people who are starting businesses and also helps people find new opportunities to grow their businesses by making better use of their existing resources to create new products and attack new markets.

Jake has 25 years experience as a business analyst with a proven record in providing insightful assessments and recommendations for new market opportunities in the medical, imaging, and computer data storage fields. Leveraging his technical background along with business experience, Jake can help identify both the opportunities and barriers to launching a successful business for a new product or service. Using primary and secondary market research techniques, he has been responsible for managing market assessments of new opportunity areas being investigated for various commercial/industry divisions of a major corporation. Market areas included:

  • Consumer markets for multimedia, software, imaging services, and hardware products
  • Business-to-Business markets for package labeling, videoconferencing and imaging services, data storage, display, and printing technologies
  • Medical products and services for the Mammography, Oncology, Dental, Cardiology and Medical Electronic Systems
Jake has a Masters degree in Chemistry and courses toward his MBA.
